  • 13 million people have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan; the confirmed death toll stands at 4,460 (15 Nov). Over 5 million children are among the affected, 789,000 of them are displaced.

  • 3 million people have been displaced, with 371,000 living inside the evacuation centers and 2.7 million people outside them.
  • World Vision is responding, launching one of the largest relief operations in the country's history. Staff plan to respond to nearly 400,000 people affected by the disaster.

  • 2.5 million people are in need of food assistance and the risk of malnutrition is extremely high. The livelihoods of 2 million people have been destroyed.​
